I hate the fact that the media (and us who this situation still concerns, for that matter) keeps comparing the deaths this week to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor because they all have this in common:

The US Government had intel and the ability to attempt to stop/slow/mitigate them. And in every single case, they failed to. And sadly, they didn’t even try. And this, by far, was the worse one.

But worst of all, to point it all out..... ruins the perception of American Exceptionalism, so people won’t bring it up.

You ain't making it to Christmas for the most part but instead spending your last days in constant pain, finding it hard to breathe while praying to god for this 'one favor' because you wanted to play that PS5/Xbox.
