Tennis stars to receive perks for getting Covid-19 vaccine as ATP Tour chiefs introduce 'testing exemption list' which allows automatic site entry to the Monte Carlo Open

Tennis authorities have taken their first step towards incentivising players to get vaccinated by offering privileges to those prepared to get the jab.

In a move that may perturb those hesitant about inoculation, an ATP Tour protocol updated this week refers to an 'ATP Testing Exemption List', for those who have taken steps to protect themselves against Covid.

One benefit, which is expected to be brought in at the forthcoming Monte Carlo Open, is that those on the list would be able to enter the event site straightaway after taking an initial test.

@DEAD7

they will push them for gatherings over certain sizes and / or where close proximity is unavoidable.

will "push" become mandatory vaccine passports?

you can do that two ways. you either 1. make VS's explicitly mandatory or 2. you penalise those without them (which can make activities difficult to untenable, making it a defacto unwritten ban).

i think businesses will take the 2nd approach./QUOTE]

We had the second dose of Moderna yesterday. Everyone I've talked to at work was tired too. I went and played basketball yesterday. My shot was way off because of my arm being sore. When I got home I was hurting more then usual and tired. I thought it was just from playing more basketball this week and exercising more since the gym reopened. When I went to bed I had the chills then throughout the night I was having weird dreams and sweating all night. I woke up late this morning. I was about 30 minutes late to work. I'm exhausted right now and my arm is extra sore today. My reaction seems to be the same as everyone else I've talked to this morning. I'm just in a daze right now. Hopefully this passes soon. I don't like the feeling right now. I'm pretty healthy and know my body and this is not normal for me.

my GF had moderna and had a very similar reaction. She was feeling horrible starting 12 hours after the shot.. side effects lasted for about 24 hours but it passed after that.

I'm starting to get out of my funk but I'm still in a daze. The crazy thing is all the older ladies here who took it are fine. None of them had a negative reaction. It's mostly everybody in my age range(43) or younger who reacted like I did. I thought I was going to be fine. I was wrong.

man the rich countries need to toss them some vials. It sucks but Thier leader sucks way more. He's a liability to the world.

i could be wrong but i read that it takes 2 weeks after the 2nd dose (pfizer and moderna) for the immunity process and since J&J is all in one, i'd guess 2 weeks after getting the shot for that one.

The J&J actually takes 6 weeks to get above 90% efficacy so you really gotta chill for a bit after that one

They say the younger people are impacted more by the vaccine, than older.

Yeah there is something to this. 2 of my older relatives only had arm pain off Moderna. While me and another cousin of mines had stronger reactions. Today I'm pretty much back to normal, just tired but I been smoking weed too.
