Did you miss the effect that warmer weather last summer had on covid numbers.
Surely that experience means that we need to factor that into discussions and conclusions.
Like the British govt has done when considering this topic just this past week.

I live in Missouri and back in February when it was like 20 degrees outside the weekly average was 600-700.
Now, it's still 600-700. That's with a nearly 50,000 case dump in early March, that was back logged for whatever reason.
So....yeah.
I guess this is the part where somebody points out that Missouri leads the U.S. in covid-19 cases per 100,000....yeah, because rednecks that live out in the middle of fukking nowhere (Polk, Linn, and Livingston) refuse to get the vaccine. They are pretty much single-handedly driving up the state's numbers.
Mind you, I've lived here 40+ years and never even heard of those places.
I expect the numbers to fluctuate as Delta spreads but it's bugged out how readily accepted even anecdotal negative news is....but let it be positive news and there's immediate push back.
It's truly bizarre.
