@choc_cardigan made points but I'll even go less extreme. Why wouldn't we want to ease the stress on our healthcare frontline workers? Like, even if getting the vaccine was only a tiny bit helpful, then why not do it to make it so our doctors and nurses aren't completely overrun and drowning? There are going to be serious long term effects of this in our healthcare system.
High quality doctors and nurses are going to quit the field and get other jobs where they are less stressed and more appreciated. Imagine the current thought process of your average high school or college student thinking about going to med school. Suddenly, the prospect of going into the field becomes less appealing when you know that if anything like this ever happens again, you could potentially have to help people that will simultaneously spit in your face and call you a liar as they're dying.
There are almost certainly people that would make great doctors that are going to steer clear of the medical field going forward.
Also, think of non COVID related stuff. I need a knee scope right now, but I can't get surgery because it's not an emergency procedure. My knee hurts pretty bad, but I just have to wait. There are people in way worse situations than me too, and they genuinely need medical procedures and help from doctors, and they're having to wait for people that probably wouldn't be in the hospital at all if they'd take something that's entirely free, easy to get, and FDA approved.
But nope. They'd rather call us sheep for getting the vaccine, as they take livestock medicine that you can give to actual sheeps, and run literal medical experiments on themselves with Ivermectin.
They don't trust the vaccine is safe for human beings, and then take medicine that's not even approved for humans beings.

Super fukked up. Unfortunately it's hard to get people to give half a fukk about the welfare of prisoners in this country. Half the country thinks the U.S. penal system isn't harsh enough, and gives less than a fukk about making sure we treat them with any level of human decency.
I feel real bad for these people because they have no say in the matter. It should be illegal to force anyone to take anything not approved for human use. This is straight up medieval shyt.
