I know the feeling. Just started my first corporate job 4 weeks ago . Waking up at 5-5:30am.. getting home after the gym at around 10pm

I can already tell I'm either not gonna be staying at this company for that long. Or, I will be moving to another state with more culture. The DC area is . Nothing but government cac workers who look so uptight.

I randomly be coming up with business ideas and text with my nikka about them nshyt. Sooner or later we gonna start some shyt and grow it. We just gotta plan that shyt out correctly.

this 9-6pm life I work right now man smh....Everyone drinks coffee every 5 mins. nshyt. Gotta worry about stepping on ppl's toes.

One thing I always did when I had a job was that I treated myself everyday or at the end of the week. I had one job were people were trying to get me fired, were saying slick racist shyt; were trying to mess up my work, keyd my car and more shyt. When I drove to work I would stop at the grocery store and buy my favorite candy bar (kit kat) or a snapple apple; and through out the day I would be like shyt I can't wait until I can get to my treat. The shyt worked and the day went by fast; but the other thing that pushed me was that I was fukking homeless sleeping on my aunts floor lol.

You just have to keep pushing make the money right now so you can actually do what you want to do.

What do you really want to do?

You need to be doing this. Period.

Every week I buy myself something nice. Pair of kicks. Maybe a new shirt or something. Or a game. Sometimes it's just a half zip of something new to burn on.

But you gotta treat yourself. Save your money but understand that unless you own your own business...at minimum, your employer is taking 35+ Hours of your week away.

EVERY WEEK.

Think about that. 35 hours a week at work. At least 7 hours of sleep a night to remain functional. And you get "the rest", some of which includes fukking traveling TO WORK.

And you're getting paid for it...but at what cost???

Corporate is not really the problem.. first you have to do what you love... I'm an engineer, been doing the same stuff since I was 14. Work in the same field I majored in in HS and then college. For me its not work, its not a job... There are days when I'm pissed because of bosses or whatever but I love what I do to much to let there mini 5 minute rant about something they know nothing about affect the rest of my life.

We ALL cant have our own businesses.. I even have a side business and i did the math... If i made my side hustle full time I wont make enough to cover what I make at my regular 9-5 .. and even if I did its a yearly struggle. 1 year I might exceed it then the next year I may underachieve.. Once I knew the numbers will work out to a better average I will do it but for now the 9-5 + side will do.

Now that's real talk. I'm in the same boat.
My side business is too involved...can't do it full time if I wanted to.
I just don't like people that much anymore.
So 9-5 it is...though I'm not complaining. I love what I do...I just wish I could do it while getting paid to travel...lol.

NYC or cali is the move man. this area is trash. been here my whole 22 yrs of life. Nothing is here except government and non-profit jobs. The

I can't imagine doing something I hate. I honestly can say I love my job. Of course, there are days that present challenges and as with any job, the hardest part is just dealing with people and different personalities. You can find something corporate that you enjoy, I'm sure.

I just want to say I find it disgusting how obsessed people are with money and judge their self worth by it. I'd much rather have a good paying job I can enjoy going to than make great money and be stressed out and miserable. You spend most of your day at work, you shouldn't have to hate it.

There's plenty of ground round truth in here...but ya know how weak people are. It really takes to have a unique personality...like....instead of going to the gym...you have to muscle up your persona, each day, to become strong to all the bullshyt.

I'm weak but I'm trying to be better...when I see one of the acquaintance dudes I know...born into money...he got GT3 for his 25th bday dog...I mean...it really takes a muscle not to feel like shyt

I think that's why we take these jobs. To indulge in our free time. Almost sad really.


Cos life will hit you with that curveball at one point or another. So it's really upon you to weigh in the ratio of putting up with shyt. Iono. shyt's complicated. Why can't we all just have solid personalities, not be frail to materialist shyt like that.

What kinda jobs yall nikkas got

I started out doing the GOAT job - journalism
So not corporate.

Then I changed to corporate but my job has a lot of mobility and is enjoyable. I moved up within one year.

I don't hate it but I can understand why some people hate the office but I never work 8 hours a day and I get unlimited overtime so I just be raping the clock.

Without moving up and doing more than my daily task, my job would have gotten mad boring but I'm in one of the most up and coming fields so there is so much to do.

But...my homie was making 70k at corporate Ikea and quit that shyt.

He's quit for 5 months now and traveling. He's been to florida, nola, colorado, new Mexico and still traveling. His instagram on fleek. He is surviving off side hustles at the moment.

But my homies are in corporate and all have side hustles going.....I think we all got jobs we actually enjoy so maybe our situation is differ but
