Gentrification is hitting every big city....:francis:

when chicago and detroit gets cleaned up, those prices will rise as well

just like DC and ATL is rising without the transportation to back it up.

Of course West Bumblefukk Tennessee gonna have dirt cheap prices..:manny:

You have never been to Pilsen if u think Chicago isn't gentrifying

living in NYC and some parts of California turns you into a hustler. It's a badge of honor to live well in certain cities. I was born and raised in hustling cities. The high cost of living doesn't stop me from getting mine.

I rather flip that money and live like a god in Atlanta :sas2:

And have a better standard of living

And bougie ass thots on my dikk :smugbiden:

I was all up in that "New Yawk" thread asking people how everyone could afford to live there, when according to New York posters the majority of people in the city are supposedly making under 75k yet their rent prices are all over $1.5k a month, and over the course of like 10 pages I got like two actual answers.
I think the majority of people that live there are struggling/ broke, and the landlords are laughing at them all the way to the bank. :francis:

A lot are upper middle class transplants whose parents called in a favor with connections getting them a cush high paying job or they're assisting with the rent money. Most leave after 2-3 years but the problem is there is a steady influx to replace the ones that "didn't make it" and their parents cut off the cash flow because they were fukkin around too much.

These places and prices are bunch of bullshyt... :francis: not everyone is rich how is people paying for these places and not going crazy wondering how they gonna pay the next bill. :mindblown: Even now my family is still struggling with our combined paychecks....

I was gonna make a thread on it but just had to email my accountant to ask about tax penalties for 401k withdrawal because things aren't going too well at my current gig.

Ask black ppl to move to Chicago brehs :heh:
you think the southside is always going to stay that way? it'll get gentrified soon enough and gentrification doesn't have to involve white folks replacing black folks. it could involve the black ppl he's asking to move to chicago. so as with all these cities i'd like to see more black homeownership (and not renting) instead of fleeing to some of these lame places and still end up struggling.

True, but it's also all these white Midwestern kids looking out for each other in the tech/fashion/culinary jobs, in addition to rooms in housing. While it has hurt me, it helps them and I can't be mad at them. It would be nice if we were a nucleus as well.

I make almost $200k a year and I live like a fukking pauper. NYC is no place to be if you aspire to save and build wealth. It costs too damn much.
:francis: and you're a banker with no money management skills? at this rate you'll be the type of breh that will always "feel like a pauper" no matter how much you make because your expenses will always rise to unreasonable levels relative to your income. so when your income doubles in a few years, you're still going to feel the same way because you'll just have more money to blow on stupid shyt.

i guess it's more convenient to make it rain after work and on the weekends and then complain about NYC cost of living when you're pulling in $200k. :martin:

Not all of them collaborating like that. Think about it, unless they know each other from way back do you really think having the same skin color and hatred of us is all that they need to form a bond ?

As I get older I realized that superficial alliances like that don't exist in actuality and if they do they're weak as hell. They will throw each other under the bus just as quickly as they would one of us.

Get it through yall minds that peoples individual desires come first and communal comes second.

They do exist, they are weak and they do it all the time to get ahead. It's like high school with a paycheck. I have seen it with my own eyes in the non-profit and tech world.
