living in NYC and some parts of California turns you into a hustler. It's a badge of honor to live well in certain cities. I was born and raised in hustling cities. The high cost of living doesn't stop me from getting mine.

you think the southside is always going to stay that way? it'll get gentrified soon enough and gentrification doesn't have to involve white folks replacing black folks. it could involve the black ppl he's asking to move to chicago. so as with all these cities i'd like to see more black homeownership (and not renting) instead of fleeing to some of these lame places and still end up struggling.

I know you may disagree, but the South Bronx is slowly but surely getting gentrified. It wouldn't shock me if the North Bronx(last stops on 2/5) become like a fake suburb in 30 years.

The north Bronx looks nice but it's dirty as shyt. All the prostitutes stay up there by the Mt. Vernon border.


The south side is just getting fixes alongside the water and even then, they're not selling those lofts like that and you can't tear those projects down. Too many displaced blue votes.

If i made 75k, in NY, i'd still be good. Get an apartment at market in brokklyn for 1800. Food? Aldi and postmates. Entertainment? Netflix and chill or live free events at the park. Subway? Breeze card or whatever. Need to get around? Id buy a bike or scooter. Even with all that and more....i'd still be saving hella money. You nikkas just don't know shyt about money management.....a person making 8 bucks an hour could save 500 a month if their expenses were low enough.

It's gonna happen, you got the 4, 5, 2, B, and D lines all stretching over North(at least outside Co-op city). Not to mention Metro North.
