This is why I don’t let my cats outside. We don’t have mountain lions, but it’s not safe out there. My neighbor has a cat they let out, and it gets into fights with the homeless cats.

Keep cats indoors. Outdoors is the trenches.

When I worked for Home Depot out of college I was unloading some appliances in some mountains near Denver. Heavy, heavy snow. One of the homeowners was complaining there was a mountain lion scaring his cattle.

I’m out there putting all the chains back and out of the corner of my eye I see something bounding towards me in the snow fast as hell… “MOUNTAIN LION!”

I swear for God I thought I was finished.




Turns out it was his gotdamn golden retriever.
