It was announced at tonight's SmackDown tapings from the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina that WWE Champion CM Punk will no longer be facing Ryback at TLC.

Ryback will now team up with Daniel Bryan and Kane to face The Shield in a six-man tag team match.

Punk underwent surgery on his left knee earlier today in Pensacola, FL and is expected to make a full recovery. WWE physician Dr. James Andrews completed a scope of Punk's knee and removed a piece of torn meniscus that had locked up his knee.

Honestly, Punk really should have been resting these past few weeks. I think they still had him doing house shows and stuff, this was bound to happen. Not complaining, the new main event does makes sense but still.

I remember watching the Punk/Joe shoot made a few months before Punk left for WWE, and at one point his knee randomly locks up and he spends like 3 minutes hopping around trying to get it loose and pop it back into place. So yeah, his knee's been fukked for a while, which makes it amazing that he hasn't missed significant amounts of time due to injury.
