@Bryan Danielson you remember ol girl? :russ:

Funny story, about 15-17 years ago she used to host a public access rap show where she showcased local talent around the Triad Region (Greensboro, Winston-Salem & High Point). One of my co-workers was actually on the show and rapping, that's how I discovered she was the on hosting it....

Where it all went north and south between the two groups.
Wu Dropped Forever it was critically acclaimed and sold 5 milion and was huge world wide.....

BCC dropped a dud For The People which was different from their beatminerz sound everyone loved and it was hit and miss the whole album and that was the end of their peak and they never really recovered. They had some great MC's in the group and some had appeal but as a group they faltered on their project, it's that simple.

Wu has such a unique, iconic mythology and mystique I don't think any normal rap group could match them in terms of global success. They're more than just a rap or even music group: they became cultural imprints that spread across the globe. The logo, the classic albums, the clothing, the imagery, "Wu Tang is for the children," etc etc. It's like Kiss. There are people who can't name a single Kiss song yet instantly recognize them.

Wu is up there with the iconic & legendary group/band of all time, across all genres, as they're hip-hop's representation for best bands/music groups of all time.

Nervous/Wreck records seems to have played them. But I have always thought if Black Moon followed up Enta da Stage with a timely album...

Or did they lack the star power?

I don't know about the business behind it.

What I will say is Beatminerz and specifically Mr. Walt is some of the best hip hop I've ever heard.

The slow boom bap with bass - it was complete hip hop perfection.

On For the People he hardly produced on it at all!
Their whole sound taken away!

It's like a bands sound - Rolling Stones, Nirvana. They held the same sound because it was the same band members.

I look at it the same in terms of hip hop and producers. Like Rza and Wu.

Yes I do believe they could have superstars.
Each was a character.

It's probably because they did stay consistent and active.

Starang was incredible! But I didn't see him recording or be active in the music industry.

Bootcamp to me is "Hip Hop" Hip Hop.

Like I have to sit down with quality headphones and marvel at the music. Meditate to it. It defined an era.

It's quality music but I look at that because of Mr. Walt and the Beatminerz then all the members.

Le Fleur Eskosha is a timeless hit. And a musically good way. They are far superior musically keeping it core hip hop than any mainstream hip hop artist in the last 20 years in my opinion.
