I don't know why I felt the need to respond to this...but you lost your mind...all of the rappers now copy them...so why wouldn't the original versions be just as huge?...
People bite lines out of respect/homage. Them nikkas would not be popping in this era at all.

Run is pushing it...Slight gimmick tweak and he could have maybe had a Mase-like run...put him with shiny suit era Bad Boy, So So Def, Supafriends (Timbo/Missy/Aailyiah/Ginuwine 'nem) and he could've had some success in the mid-late 90's...pre-Death Row in the early 90's he could've got in on a Kwame/Kid 'n Play/Heavy D/Fresh Prince etc. rayon shirt and high top fade angle and did his thing...he prolly couldn't pull the whole 90's era studio gangster thing off, but there were plenty other pockets he could have flourished throughout that decade

Hell no. Especially when you had "kid" rappers like Illegal and Shyheim putting out quality material that sounded like adult shyt.

The industry would be trying to capitalize off his Nickelodeon fame by making a bunch of movies, which is what they did with all of the other kid nickelodeon stars

I never really bought that.

I thought I was losing my mind when I heard Drake biting a Mase verse. Really? Mase? And Mase's verse wasn't even the best on the song?

Wasn't drake still in a wheel chair back then? Wu tang would have pushed him down some stairs no doubt.

if drake was around in the 90's he would probably be forced to make r&b songs.

EDIT: OR he'd be part of Bad Boy. So yeah I could see him survivng the 90's

Mase was still gritty with it tho. nikkas was :ohhh: at that Only You remix verse. Drake is holding back with the softness. Hes not even full blown cotton candy with it right now.
