I remember reports years back that it's not just the women's hair being scrutinised, but men too..cant have too fancy hairstyles and such.
Also, they're major druggies in Iran due to living in a repressive society. And those that can flee, their brain drain is one of the most severe anywhere.

Honestly, you can blame trump for US Foreign policy in regards to Iran…if you remember, Obama tried to compromise on their behalf(which I thought was a good move, much to the chagrin of Israel), but trump went and blew it the fukk up and almost pulled us into a war with his saber rattling.
