Could Liberia be our Isreal?

The nation was originally founded with the idea of black Americans having our own country

- AA's colonized the nation and even successfully defended it during the scramble for Africa by European nations
- There was originally tension between natives and the AA's but that has calmed down in recent years
- Disease impacted the country last year but that's over now
- Nowadays, people there still seem to be searching for their own identity and the country is still in its infancy stages as far as being built up



Now, I dont think there will ever be a mass exodus of black people leaving America. There was never a mass exodus of Jewish people leaving America or Europe either. What Liberia can be though is a place for Black Americans to invest in. Get your bread up and make moves accordingly. It's not for everybody and it would be a long, uphill battle but we need to start somewhere

Our food is the best in the world nobody can convince me otherwise...it's spicy, lots of greens and meat, rice with almost everything

There's a lot of theft here (electronics mostly), but violent crimes are relatively low...car jackings are non-existent
A lot of home invasions but a lot of people have barbed wire fences, window bars, metal doors, security etc.

Liberians LOVE foreigners especially black Americans
Yes you have those that criticize no matter what, but for the most part they love foreigners here...especially the younger generation, they idolize black American culture
But I am NOT going to lie they put the non-black visitors on a pedestal here and I have cussed out folks at a few restaurants and hotels here because of it

Outside of the capital, my fav places were Ganta, Buchannan, and Harper

Apparently, the standard of living is decent relative to a lot of other African nations

Read up on Liberias history. Many of the AAs that went to Liberia were c00ns, and used the same White supremacist Ideals to oppress the Indigenous people. That said, President Tolbert was a good dude from what I know, and the CIA got him out the paint for Obvious reasons, after that the nation became the mess we know it to be today, due to the West wanting to keep it destabilized in order to suck out resources.

There is potential in West African Nations like Liberia as long as AAs aren't trying to go back to Africa and form Elite Classes there being that they won't want to accept the cultures of those nations.

Anyways, I agree with your take that Liberia can only succeed if people integrate with one another. Most countries can not succeed with infighting and/or excessive segregation but like I said, we have to start somewhere.

Liberians are friendly people, and the simple fact due to the history it would be the easiest for AAs to feel comfortable in, but like I said the main thing with any group working with/moving to another country is to make sure there is a partner ship going on more so than a take over.

ie. The history of AAs going to the Coast and creating Liberia on land that already belonged to people, or ie. Nigerians/West Indians coming to America and c00ning for acceptance of whites and getting few butter biscuits then looking at AAs on that time.
