far from it, after the Civil War we were just outmanned & outgunned. We had a 'Red Summer' with cacs in 1919 that resulted in 38 cities across the U.S. engaging in riots/combat

the only way lynching would have stopped would be if white people grew a conscience and stopped in themselves.

what are you talking about blacks had no code of conduct? walk in groups of six? you realize al they had to do was shoot all six men then get away with it right? lynching happened because the system didn't care what happened to blacks, not because blacks didn't protect themselves. the system had to change because back then you dying was a nonissue, like killing an ant.

You don't think they helped contribute towards the diminishing of Lynching through activism and other means?
What could they do if a white mob came at them? Nothing.
