Do you think during the height of his fame/celebrity before Nicole was murdered he could have gone into politics and become a senator, governor or even President?

Back in the Reagan era OJ couldn't piece together 2 sentences without a script but give him a script to stick to he knock it out the park I definitely see him as the non threatening negro candidate for mayor in an all white town and win.

A great candidate. I think he would win with the right strategy. The 80s would be a perfect time for him to run as a Republican candidate. He would be ftting for that extravagant, individualistic, hyper capitalist yuppie era. He was handsome, charming, famous, rich, white wife, white life, non threatening and loved by white people. Black people would have forgiven him for c00ning in the 60s because of the idea of a first black president. He had a white, blonde wife, though. Good for the ‘post racial’ America angle but still pretty cliche, so he would have to turn up the charm extra and pander a lot to convince black women to vote for him. Many would in the end but he wouldn’t pull Obama numbers among black women.

I think the most OJ could have been was governor. His style would appeal to upper middle class yuppies but you still have to appeal to rednecks and trailer trash to some extent. He has the looks and charisma but it even took Reagan years to gain the clout to become a Presidential nomination. The other thing outside of sports and having swingers parties, OJ wasn't really versed in other subjects like that.

Yeah in the 80s and early 90s he could have been a mayor of a predominantly white suburb in the LA area or congressman.
