It's the wild thing cause with RnB let's say ron isley for example, they made between the sheets 25 years after their debut

I love hiphop, but the artists need to be sharply musically inclined, and then filter that through the grit and boom bap of the genre. Most hiphop artists aren't musically inclined, they're lyrically inclined then let a musically inclined person executive produce the album. When that person leaves the career falls off. Alot of em win when they go for a formula. Like they know what sounds good but they don't understand why it sounds good so they don't flow or write in a way that maximizes what the song could be. There's literally only a handful each generation that understand this. Music lends itself to alot of amateurs (even though there's beauty in their failures word to the vision) but there's diamonds in the rough and when said diamonds get the right musically inclined team around them it's magic. I'm rambling at this point lol

If he would have stayed out of jail he would have probably had at least one more huge album in him after Paper Trail but sadly he messed his moment up with his crimes and he never has really been the same since on a commercial level. Before his time in jail he was cranking out hits like they weren't nothing and his street anthems always had the hood nikkas listening to him. But with the rise of Jeezy and cats like Gucci the trap rap got kind of played out and his street songs sounded more forced then before after landing a reality show and his commercial hits weren't as big as they used to be.

No, they should have pushed that Guns and Roses song on radio. Its not like he didn't have a solid run...but its a wrap for all 00s rappers not named Kanye.

And Swish starting to look flaky....

Aubrey really monopolizing the market out here

Yes. Cut the commercial shyt (TV dad, iggy) and get back to the basics (fighting Luda, shorty low, flip, Shaka) might go back to jail...:yeshrug: But it will sell you some records
He can do all of that, and he wont sell. Why ruin something stable chasing after an illusion? Too many rappers lose their perspective.
