Then take the financial risk. If you sincerely think this place is a viable revenue streaming outlet, it makes no sense to talk about it, just buy it.
I don't think you'd buy it to profit. Seems breaking even would be fine, or even at a slight negative.
Not buying a business more just trying to preserve a forum.
Would it be worth it? Hard to say without understanding the #s.
You can easily open up registration. Fix the DDOS attack.
Personally I would make a Podcast bases on each section. Do one show a week. The topics would be on the most popular topics from the pervious week or current events.
Have posters call in and talk their shyt. The most popular posters could host the shows. Have guest appearances.
You'd get money based on ad revenue from the site traffic. Then you could get money from streaming sites or a subscription based service.
Joe Budden Podcast generates makes $20 million in revenue a year.
Have multiple people put in and then a profit share payout on a set schedule.

The only way to keep this place alive is by getting in contact with one of the admins or server owners to buy it or spending 1000s on server storage to create a complete mirror, which also requires getting in touch with the server owner. Unless you can get in touch with Brook the only option is move to another forum or stay here and use TheColi as it is right now.
