Just stay out of the Gators waiting you should be okay. I used to see Gators everyday when I was down in Florida. when they get too big the city come and get them in residential areas.

Alligators have no muscle to open their jaws, only close them and no solid ground attacks outside of their tail whip and death roll. They drown all their prey. As long as you keep the mouth closed and avoid the tail you can kill a gator. The key is the underbelly though because the top skin too tough to stab.
