This is one of my favorites. A few different artists have recorded this one but I prefer the Gretchen Wilson version.
That's like saying the Ford Model T is better than Lambo cause it was first, that don't make it betterBlues has to be the greatest because all of the other genres, including country music steals from the Blues. You literally wouldn't have Rock and Roll without the Blues. Country is literally nothing but White people singing the Blues.

Nobody has ever thought that terrible ass Country music was better than the Blues, not even Country musicians even think that because one of Country music's recent biggest hits "Tennessee Whiskey" is a ripoff of a Blues classic by Etta James which is called " I Would Rather Go Blind."That's like saying the Ford Model T is better than Lambo cause it was first, that don't make it better

In fact modern Country music is nothing but ripoff of that terrible 1980s and 1990s soft Rock garbage.

on his face a few months ago at the CMA’s listening to the new country on stage. You call it bad music, which is what it is. A lot of music, including Rap, R&B and Country have gone to shyt because young people stopped playing Soul music and the Blues.
Pretty soon bum ass Country musicians are going to start stealing all of those old Blues and Soul classics and call it Country music. Stuff like this by Otis Clay.
Tennessee Whiskey ain't no damn Country song. It is a remake of a Blues classic by Etta James that is called "I Would Rather Go Blind."
I Would Rather Go Blind was released in 1968.It is a country song, or it could be both. Both genres have alot of of cross over. It may even be a subgenre from Blues like New Jack is from R and B. Yes, that is the same rhythm of and beat to "I would Rather Go Blind" you can play them both on a loop in a medley.
