I'm real careful around bikers..and some of them have these toddler wagons attached now..I don't understand why you do that close to any road..go to the park.RIP
Thats why i hate seeing people on the road on bikes because of shyt like this
You add to the fray by labeling them victims with no evidence.
That movie is why i slap people i love in the back of the head whenever i spot an obvious darwinian lifetime achievement nominee deathtrap in their homes.Final Destination the movie is why whenever I see someone driving with materials/junk hanging out of their truck I always stay clear.

Because being in the right lane would stop logs from rolling off an oncoming vehicle onto them.Probably not riding in the bike lane thinking they own the road.

The truck driver hasn't been charged...that's evidence supporting my theory.
The article said the truck was trying to go around them. so i think its pretty much confirmed they were in the street. The story says when the truck passed them the materials shifted then struck them. Doesn’t sound like it was anyone’s fault. But then again, looking at the pictures shows the bike lane is fairly wide so I’m surprised they were close enough to it to get hit. I wonder if they were hugging the left side instead of the right of that lane.

Why people insist on riding bikes on roads I'll never understand. You're losing that battle every time.
Somebody did some magic for that shyt to happen![]()
Portland couple, both Nike execs, die after lumber on passing truck strikes them during California bicycle ride
Christian and Michelle Deaton had been biking down the Silverado Trail on the outskirts of Napa at about 11 a.m. Tuesday when they were hit with lumber hanging out of a passing flatbed truck.nypost.com
these bikers are arrogant as fukk. all it takes is one little mistake and a driver can kill you. is it really worth it? there have to be some nice trails where there are no cars to go to, especially for these rich mfs, which a lot of cycling enthusiasts are.
i understand if you have to use it as a means of transportation in a town/city, still risky, but if you're out there on those two lane highways just doing it for fun/exercise, i just don't think you value your life or you're incredibly reckless/deluded and think you're untouchable.
did i say they were the problem?more people are killed by vehicles every year having gone out for leisurely walks. it's not the cyclists or pedestrians that are the problem.
