Looks like the other driver was more at fault, or at least should be if we're talking about using common sense.

Police rescind call that Venus at fault in crash

Tennis star Venus Williams legally entered an intersection but was cut off by another car, setting off a chain of events that seconds later resulted in a fatal crash with a third car, police say video released Friday shows.

The video, taken by a security camera, shows Williams heading north as she stops her 2010 Toyota Sequoia SUV at a stoplight behind a white car as she exits her Palm Beach Gardens neighborhood shortly after 1 p.m. June 9.

When the light turns green, the white car turns left onto a six-lane, heavily traveled boulevard, but Williams heads straight. A dark-colored sedan turns left in front of her, causing her to stop.

She then continues into the far, westbound lanes, where her SUV is struck in the passenger side by a 2016 Hyundai sedan driven by Linda Barson.

Palm Beach Gardens police said in a statement Friday that Barson's light had turned green just before Williams moved in front of her. Barson's 78-year-old husband, Jerome Barson, died June 22 from injuries suffered in the crash.

Williams, who was not hurt, has not been cited or charged. Police spokesman Maj. Paul Rogers said Friday the video has caused investigators to rescind their original conclusion that Williams was at fault, and said no blame has yet been determined.

Police: Williams legally entered intersection before crash

Cops are now on Venus side after the victims family went on the news to blast them for not giving up the tapes and the vehicles for evidence.:leon:
I remember a guy in Texas had his lottery ticket stolen by a clerk and the lottery was helping him out until he hired a lawyer to sue the lottery corporation. Then they suddenly stopped helping him try to get his money back from the clerk who fled the country.:shaq2:

This is BS if she wasn't an athlete they wouldn't do all of this. It clearly was an accident they happen all the time. Filing a wrongful death case we all know the motive here :francis:. a 79-year-old man who passed away nearly two weeks after he suffered a fractured spine and other internal injuries :patrice:

The police report estimates that Williams was driving five miles per hour when the accident occurred:beli:

Something not adding up here

fukk all that... she should not have entered the intersection if there was so much traffic she couldnt make it to the other side. green doesnt always mean go. if she knew how to drive this old man would be alive. id like to see a diagram of the street and how they collided

Same can be said about the other driver.

I expect coli nikkas to be driving that, not all time great athletes:francis:

Ah.. I see..... all time athletes should be absent of the financial wherewithal to get the most value out of a depreciating asset that has a 12 year financial life span(virtually problem free) in 7 years instead..... coli logic at its finest.... thanks for validating that.... :salute: I'm sure you'll be worth 7 figures in no time.....

I was actually expecting her to go with a Rav-4 or Tacoma if she was worried about best resale value and wanted a Toyota. The Prius has good resale value and leaves a better carbon footprint for those concerned with the environment, doe:ehh:

You seem like the type to put ketchup on their fried egg sandwiches, so please don't try to kick knowledge to me, breh:mjlol:
