Some people have Pearl Harbor, some people have 9/11, I have 9/26/13 and O'Bannon is my japs/Taliban

Oh I know. The NCAA should be cutting nikkas a check. The simplest solution is just to go on strike. I guarantee if players just decided not to show up on gameday shyt would get straightened out fast. But we know that wont happen.

OR...ban people from using their image. They don't own their jerseys.Wrap this shyt up by allowing players to make money off their imaging (commercials, videogames, autograph sessions) and team jersey sales.

I meant fix our system, not migrate
Like I've always said - the solution to this is really simple: when the kid shows up to school, offer him (2) options -
1. Be an amateur and abide by all the rules of amateurism while you are enrolled here as a student. Tuition, room, board paid for.
2. Make money in whatever pursuit you wish. No scholarship.
Think about how many players would take option 2![]()
You'd have to at least propose a system offering a level playing field. School B will get every great recruit in that system.Or why can't there be no stipulations at all and make that shyt a free market like everything else?
If school A just wants to compensate player x in the form of a scholarship then so be it. But if school B comes into the picture and say hey we'll give you a scholarship a percentage of your jersey sales and this wonderful booster says he'll give you $50k to play with us, then that should be acceptable as well.
My problem isn't that schools don't pay players it's these bullshyt rules that restrict them from being paid in any manner.
Because its unfair if theres no real amateur alternative outside of college and to other sports. What about Hockey? Or Field Hockey? Or swimming?Or why can't there be no stipulations at all and make that shyt a free market like everything else?
