Expect PlayStation games to make an appearance on the Xbox platform. No reason to get a PlayStation because there won't be systems moving forward (next next gen) so Sony has to hang on while it can. But eventually Sony is just it's handful of exclusives. I don't see how the PlayStation brand can exist by itself in the clouded future.

America is one of the worst countries when it comes to internet access and speeds because of capitalism. You growing up here you was falsely taught that everything is better in America. Streets are paved with gold too!!!

Microsoft's Xbox division today is extremely profitable regardless of how many ps4's have been sold, you don't get that because of the fanboy/blinders thing. If you was not butthurt you'd acknowledge Microsoft is holding all the cards here. Consoles as a model/as a platform is no longer sustainable because you don't understand how the cloud makes console obsolete. So Sony can join Microsoft or Google or Amazon. That's it, only 3 companies with the capabilities to compete in the clouded future.

What we can say today is that due to their performance this gen microsoft has thrown in the towel on physical consoles and are hinging their future business on Cloud gaming. Going forward it remains to be seen what effect that will have on the next gen, meanwhile Sony will be looking at doing both.

1.) The clouded future was supposed to be now, when introducing the Xbox one it was all cloud talk. The "secret sauce" chip in the Xbox made the whole thing work. And instead of relying on the cloud of the future the future could have been now because with always on and always connected systems they could create a closed cloud system via every Xbox that's connected. The PlayStation 3 had a cloud app for cancer research that a lot of us participated in. But instead of using that data for cancer Microsoft was going to use it for gaming. People's fears and stupidity cancelled that plan..fast forward to now and you see what it is...

3.)Sony will be looking to do both
