Cousins, at his age now, would want to be at least the #2 option. I can see a clash of ego's with this shyt. Dont do it...

Entertain us all with your rationale :beli:

Kanter is a good player and having a good year, while improved on defense. Payne's been solid in limited minutes. And you're getting Cousins off the books for good.

OKC is too smart to bring in Cousins though.

Even if you hate Cousins, the return isn't exactly great.

You'd have to legitimately believe Payne is the next major guard to make a move like this

What makes you think you're going to get a good return on Cousins? The Kings overvaluing him isn't anyone else's problem to solve.

That's up to the Kings to figure out. I'm not saying I would give up a lot for him, but he's not the first or last malcontent in the league with talent. There are teams with picks and players that need to cash in their chips before they wind up like Phoenix, but they need leadership.

You'd ultimately be trading Cousins for a player who makes more than him AND ultimately plays WCS's long term spot and a rookie PG. Kanter is what he is and it says a lot when his best use is as a 21 mpg big off the bench. Payne better be a decade long answer to Sacramento's PG woes

Hey, if the Kings can find a stupid enough franchise to dump a bunch of unprotected picks for Cousins you jump on it.
