Honestly cars have been wiping out entire generations of people for decades and nobody cares, people drive too fast infact, I know Americans still won't give af about covid. I won't lie, it took me awhile to understand the numbers, but when I really think about it, 730k people is overwhelming, that's a whole city done away with

No slight to you, but it's scary to me that it took you a while to understand those numbers. I'm sure most people are the same way - they don't truly understand those numbers.

man all those morons harping on about 99% survival rate and simultaneously saying we all have to live with it don't seem to understand there would be 5+ million dead americans minimum in a short period of time, tens of millions more afflicted with life long ailments. also what does the economy look like after that?

people really don't grasp the magnitude of it all.

out of 730K people dead, how many were business owners? how many were their families breadwinner? how many held crucial knowledge or were crucial to an organization as a mentor, teacher or trainer. Lots of knowledge and skill just gone in a very short timespan is never good. we're basically slowly boiling with the negative societal impacts this pandemic will leave on us.

Think to yourself do you know anyone who has died from covid or an auto accident. Most likely a yes multiple times over. Then think about people you know that have died in an airplane crash (something that strikes fear in everyone).

That's not really true we've been making improvements to make cars safer for a long time I wouldn't say no one cares.

I don't feel like people are driving safely at all, the cars are improved but the roads are not improved at all and there are not that many that are not built in a way that force you to drive everywhere. I almost got in am accident a few times in Dallas and in Orlando some dude zoomed past me and my wife just to beat the light and it's hundreds of dudes out here driving these hellcats and other kit cars fast as shyt and loud as hell. We have horrible driving behavior in this country it's unacceptable.

But there are hundreds of laws regulating our driving privileges and limits. The government literally decides when and how we drive...you can be a deemed a danger on the road and have license/car taken away with little warning.

However ppl are trying to sell how mask mandates are unconstitutional. One is not like the other.
Yes and people drive with no license at all, grand theft auto is at an all time high in many cities, people drive with no insurance all the time. Let's not kid ourselves, and people are also driving broken ass cars everywhere with fukked up brakes and still whipping shyt like it's normal.
