Wonder why msnbc 31,000 and cnn 27,000 have different death totals when both are citing John Hopkins University :ohhh:

Maybe cause NY said they would go back and list over 3k deaths because of the virus. These are early deaths that they didn't know the cause of and now believe it was because of the virus.

Real talk what ever the number is higher. The reason why I say this is because even here in Dallas we have had some old people suddenly die. But we don't know if its because of the virus. Since their aren't enough test so these dead folks aren't being tested. Two old folks dropped dead at my old job. But there families believe its cause of the virus, but couldn't get them tested.

fukk that. People need to be prepared for situations in their area. A lack of testing capability shouldn't be the reason to keep people in the dark.
I'm good with a "probable - not tested" column alongside the tested cases. I think it hurts eventually if they start throwing in cases of suspected COVID but not tested into the official number. People will start :childplease: the numbers if they feel the books are cooked. Especially if the symptoms are pneumonia, fever etc. Someone could legit die from pneumonia, emphysema, heart disease and be rolled into COVID because the sysmptoms seemed similar. But obviously you want to keep the data in case there's a way in the future to trace back to those cases and prove it was covid-19. I don't like that archaic lumping in without testing.

They waited too long to declare it a pandemic, shyt like that.

It's funny because my whole life I've been told the US has the most superior intelligence (they did warn about this in Nov) and all this jazz. Yet now we needed the WHO to escalate this for us to take it seriously

Breh you can have all the intelligence in the world it don't matter if your leader or leaders ain't listening.

Hell many say for months that intelligence told FDR that Japan would attack pear harbor and he ignored it.

As for this virus we have an extremely capitalistic society. In which anything that happens can affect the economy. So people will push back any lockdown. We also have a president who is arguably more bought and sold than any president we have ever had (plus he is a dummy).

All of that makes a frightening situation.
