What if a vaccine is 12 months away?

Then everyone should come out of that quarantine having mastered some new skills so they can go straight to the job they've been wanting to do for years
Seeing people wanting to rush back to lives the hated is the wildest shyt I've seen lately

Well logically you can’t just prop up the economy and pay everybody forever...that’s what y’all don’t understand.
Finding a vaccine is not guaranteed thing it’s a lot of diseases that’s out that don’t have vaccines. People wrongly talking like that’s guaranteed smh. USA will go to ruins if we lock everything down for years...
If you think America will go into a depression because of .1% death rate your smoking crack..it’s a reason they talking about opening shyt up. A lockdown is 1000% unsustainable long term. We passed that point.

Not wild at all, what’s wilder is people not wanting to back and being ok with this for a whole year, fukk a vaccine, anyone keeping me lockdown for longer than 6 months, at that point I’ll take my chances.
We were never going to be quarantined until a vaccine becomes available. Just stop with that narrative.

I don’t think any non-alarmist is advocating a lockdown until there is a vaccine.
The reasonable perspective right now is ramping up testing and PPE production until we can identify and track outbreaks while keeping those treating the sick safe. Social distancing will have to continue but involves wearing masks and not holding events that bring in big crowds especially events that people travel to from other areas.
People at high risk unfortunately are gonna have to be especially vigilant. You’re not sending your kids to school or daycare all week and then dropping them off with grandma while you hit up a venue to watch a concert or sporting event in the near future.
Things will not be back to “normal” for a while but going back to work and not being on lockdown is coming once we can do it responsibly.
