I haven't been paying attention to this thread, but I'm in Queens super close to Elmhurst Hospital and I heard the ice cream out there today for at least 1 hour. I'm not sure if the authorities told him to cease operations or if he decided to go in once he saw that there weren't that many people outside.

That’s how it is in a town not too far from me. You can’t enter a business without wearing a mask regardless of age. Don’t like it, stay your a** at home especially if you’re too lazy to make your own ask.
exactly, i'm sorry but we can't stay in lockdown for two years. the economy would never recover and the mental illness rates will be drastic, heck physically it's not good.

Why is this shyt so aggressive against black people?:mindblown:
Because we are the poorest and don’t have the luxury of working at home and self isolating. A lot of black people can’t afford to have food and household cleaning supplies delivered to them, which means repeated trips to the grocery store. Many of them are employed in the “essential” services sector, exposed to the virus at a much higher frequency than white people. The only other race getting hit as hard in America are Hispanics. Whites and Asians aren’t suffering the same death toll because they have money and can stay home. :francis:

I don’t get when I see information like this. As those other things didn’t have much of any effect on the continental us...This is something that hasn’t been dealt with in a long time. Hard for me to knock others for what they did with given information...

H1N1 started in Mexico and infected millions of Americans.

Ebola reached the US and was immediately contained due to fast action.

With H1N1 health emergency was declared after 20 cases in the US and almost 1 million tests were performed for H1N1 in the first month in the US.

Granted this is much more infectious but competence and fast actions goes a long way.

I've noticed a lot of excuse making for our failures here...

The poll, which surveyed 600 Michigan residents between April 15 and 16 with a margin of error of ± four percentage points, found that 57% of Michiganders approved of Whitmer's handling of the crisis compared to 37% who disapproved, giving her a net approval rating of +20 percentage points.

While Republicans predictably disapproved of Whitmer's handling of the crisis by a margin of 89% to 8%, self-described independent voters approved of Whitmer's performance by a margin of over 20 percentage points, 56% to 35%.

because they/we haven’t dealt with nothing like this in a long time...Only one I had experience with was swine flu when I was in Germany....The H1NI I honestly don’t even recall. The Ebola barely seemed relevant to me in the states and I was in charge of some type of WMD/Response reconnaissance platoon during the time but we never got the call.
