Sadly, I think more people are less likely to believe there is underreporting than they want to believe there is overreporting

I honestly wonder why and what drives that habit.

This anomaly will be largely ignored yet a lot of noise would be made if the opposite was the case.

People want the lie so it is what it is. No one will care about this. Sad but this is the future a large portion of the US chose. :yeshrug:

Interesting and something which will get more attention globally in the post-mortem I think.

For better context they might also have included historic highs so we could get some idea about historic variance.

Say 5 year high and 10 year high + dates occurred.
