I wear gloves when getting my gas. When I haven't had any available, i've used paper towels and receipts to avoid touching the pumps.

I'm extra cautious about contact at gas stations because I stay seeing people picking their noses while driving

Yea it’s more complicated but at the end of the day we are trying to have contact with as little people as possible

We are trying to limit viral transferal, even via other objects, and as such It doesn't matter whether 1 million people have used the pump as long as you clean your hands properly. Using the pump is not quite the same as interacting directly with people, so it's not fair to imply that they are similar.

When you wash your hands you you have to do so in a manner which assumes that you have come into contact with a contaminated surface or matter.

Additionally or alternatively as @eXodus pointed out, use gloves.

And like I said above the table does not specify "hot food only".

Maybe they mean just the act of "getting" rather than "consuming". That would make more sense.

In Eastern Europe (Romania) in a lot of places a gas station attendant will actually fill the car for you. No need to touch anything.

Yea I been reheating for 15 mins at 200 degrees in the oven for the rare times I do takeout

and use nitrile gloves that I dispose and then hand sanitizer when at the pump

I do the same thing breh. 15 minutes at 200 degrees. Those containers and bass are getting tossed with a swiftness.

I dont understand how getting take out isn't risky. Some shyt head with corona fixing your food is pretty bad

So transfer through surfaces is very unlikely like under 5 percent
