Work in COVID ICU in Texas medical center as RN since the start. This shyt is exhausting. Nursing burnout is going to skyrocket. The workload for these patients is so heavy. Morale starting to dip. Nurses in our unit are just pissed and tired at this point.

Fall is going to be scary :francis:

No way hospital systems can handle this pace. The largest medical center in the world is full

shyt is not changing until trump and his ilk are out of office. They have no plan. It’s plain as day. People will lose lives for the next 6 and a half months. Have to just buckle down, stay home, and hope that trump doesn’t steal the election.

:stopitslime:
6 months? You mean like 18months

Looks like it might creep up to 200k deaths, and most of it could’ve been avoided

Trump responsible for at least 150k. This guy is hitler, stalin levels of evil....
At this pace we'll be over 250,000 by December...

The hospitals are overloaded and medical professionals can't treat all the infected...We saw this in NY, once the hospitals got overloaded the death count went through the roof...

Red state CACs are still CACing and the ignorant fools in our community doing what ignorant fools do, which means this is going to get a lot worse before we see any improvement...

The fall is clearly going to be a disaster, we have done nothing but spent the summer increasing the spread...I am starting to believe the WH lack of action is intentional and if you look at the polls its clear why...Cheetos losing in a landslide even on Republican friendly polls, I think their play here is for COVID to delay the election...The WH already come out and complained to block mail in voting...If you shut the country down without mail in voting, there is no election...

150,000 is guaranteed now, but the crazy thing is, you can beat it, anytime you want, you can reflatten the curve
Even now, if everybody masked up and stayed home, numbers will go down rapidly.......you just wont.

That's not happening. USA is gonna have to wait until the fall/winter to get this under control. When most people are forced to be in the house due to weather

I'm working from home with unlimited overtime. I'll be straight :yeshrug:

Best time self study, passed 2 Azure exams whilst working from home since March. Never would have done that usually.

Saving and studying has been one of the few good things from lockdown

That lockdown weight though
:francis:

Finally Gyms open in London next weekend

I've been the most fit with the lockdown. I do all my workouts from home. I didn't need to purchase any expensive equipments to do so. After I got Covid in March it was a wakeup call to get back into my routine (water intake, healthy eating & workouts) I had a few years ago.

The extra time at home has been helpful with that, as well as saving and intellectual expansion.
