Yeah, they are supposed to clear 3 phases before rolling vaccines out publicly and this kinda comes out of blue. I was in the understanding that the Oxford vaccine was the lead candidate thus far. Anyway I hope this works because the sooner a vaccine works, the better for everybody but Im a bit skeptical about that one.

The way I see it they're basically running a clinical trial on the general public without their consent

I read that late 2020 could see roll outs if phases 3 were passed but early 2021 is probably a safe estimate as production would not be enough for end of 2020 globally (plus I'm expecting some bidding wars between countries). But it's good there are that many candidates, that means we'll soon have a cure for it. Hopefully that virus doesn't morph into something worse in the mean time
