its the FLU... not coronavirus... went through the whole flu symptoms a weeks ago, fever, sneezing, stuffy nose, headaches... now I just have a stubborn cough... the cough is always the last thing to go away...

I just wanted to give everyone an update on my wife. She had a sinus infection, and because of the pandemic, we didn’t really categorize it as that serious and didn’t go to the hospital. Yesterday she became incoherent so I called an ambulance. They took her to the hospital, and I am not allowed to go be with her. The infection spread to her brain, and she is now in critical condition, and they are going to do brain surgery today. I am a fukking mess, I am broken, fetal position sobbing. Our daughter had to come and collect me, and tell me to be strong for her, I’m trying. I can’t hold my wife’s hand right now. I’ve never hurt this much in my whole entire life. I only ask that you folks pray and send positive thoughts my wife’s way, please, if anybody dislikes me on this board, or has a beef with me, I apologize for whatever, just please send positive thoughts and prayers towards my wife, she is my everything, my whole entire world, and nothing in the world means anything to me if I don’t have her with me. Please be safe out there, and let everyone you know that you love them! Please. A lot of y’all is like family to me even though we don’t really know each other irl, and I love you!

anytime I get sick I just get bad nasal congestion and sneezing

never get a fever or a cough or body aches or headache

I did have a upper respiratory infection one time that had me coughing for weeks but that’s one of the few times in my adult life I remember having a cough

I always catch the flu everytime the seasons change like clockwork... everytime... sneezing, coughing, bronchial infection, headache, not so much aches... but the cough and congestion I tend to spit up and hack out... its just annoying because its hard to come out... And this is relevant to the pandemic because there are so many people like me that can’t see their loved ones through anything because the hospitals are locked down with no visitors. I had the nurse and the dr in tears along with me over the phone. I can’t imagine what these health care professionals are going through just having to deal with the phone calls. It was the worst phone call I ever experienced, and they have to do this multiple times a day.
