Guest At Packed Memorial Day Weekend Pool Party Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Health officials said the person was “likely incubating illness and possibly infectious” while partying at various venues in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.

A person who attended a packed pool party in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, over Memorial Day weekend — video of which went viral and drew widespread condemnation — has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Camden County Health Department issued a health warning on Facebook on Friday, revealing an unidentified person from Boone County had “arrived here on Saturday and developed illness on Sunday, so was likely incubating illness and possibly infectious at the time of the visit.”

Health officials also released the person’s itinerary from the weekend, noting the times they’d visited the Backwater Jack’s Bar and Grill, Shady Gators and Lazy Gators Pool and Buffalo Wild Wings venues.

Officials asked people in attendance to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus.

Footage that KTVK-3TV anchor Scott Pasmore filmed over the weekend at Backwater Jack’s — which was hosting an event called “Zero Ducks Given” — showed people not adhering to social distancing measures aimed at slowing the spread of the contagion that’s now killed more than 100,000 nationwide.

The scenes prompted officials in nearby St. Louis County on Monday to issue a travel advisory for anyone who’d attended.

“This reckless behavior endangers countless people and risks setting us back substantially from the progress we have made in slowing the spread of COVID-19,” said County Executive Sam Page in a statement at the time.

Missouri has had almost 12,000 confirmed coronavirus cases. Some 676 people in the state have died from the virus.

not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but first this epidemic happens

then an incident happens that gets black people riled up and out in the streets in very large crowds (when folks are supposed to be social distancing)

you could argue that this shyt feels very calculated

:patrice:

Nope I currently watching CNN and there's just as many white people out too

My grandfather just passed away due to Covid

no one answered their cellphones for some reason except me

I was the first to hear about it so i had to be the one to deliver the news to my father.....shyt was tough....

whats sucks is my grandfather was retired and lived in Mexico. Kinda in a secluded area. He had cancelled a flight to the states because of the pandemic but one of my aunts convinced him to go on a trip to Acapulco in a damn bus smh

tired of these super religious type believing God will protect them from harm. And then they’ll say like “it was his time to go” when this was preventable.

With all the rioting going on, can we expect ‘Rona cases to rise within the next 2 months?

We'll see but no one seems concerned about that at the moment. The riots are entertainment for a lot of people.

@Dr. Acula

Update:

"Beijing now admits that coronavirus DIDN'T start in Wuhan's market... so where DID it come from, asks IAN BIRRELL

  • Centre for Disease Control and Prevention's Gao Fu admitted no viruses were detected in animal samples
  • He said they were found only in environmental samples, including sewage
  • Gao's sudden reversal came after series of studies cast doubt on his original claim
Now Gao has admitted no viruses were detected in animal samples. He said they were found only in environmental samples, including sewage – before adding an intriguing aside that ‘the novel coronavirus had existed long before’.

No-one should doubt the significance of the statement since Gao is not just China’s top epidemiologist but also a member of the country’s top political advisory body."

also:

"Nikolai Petrovsky, the vaccine researcher who headed the Australian team, said the virus was ‘not typical of a normal zoonotic infection’ since it suddenly appeared with ‘exceptional’ ability to enter humans from day one. He also highlighted the ‘furin cleavage site’, ‘which allows the spike protein to bind efficiently to cells in several human tissues, increasing infectivity, and does not exist in the most similar coronaviruses."
