Exactly. People hung on on new cases “omg cases are going up!” But that’s clearly expected with more interaction and way more testing. Positive testing percentages continue to decline nationally, as do deaths and hospitalizations. Half the death at least in the country was long term care facilities. If deaths don’t spike and hospitals don’t get overwhelmed, what’s the concern? This virus ain’t just going away. You live with it and move on with your life. As I’ve said numerous times, if you’re doom and gloom worried, or old, or fat, or diabetic, or have Respiratory issues stay home. That’s your prerogative. If you want to get back into some sort of life outside your residential neighborhood, then do so. That’s also your choice. What’s the alternative? Everything will look like the burnt up and shuttered parts of Minneapolis if you close everything down for months and months on end. That’s not a solution and never was. Was just to lessen the healthcare system surge

Not in the slightest. 13 people in the US, a number of deaths outside China I can count on my fingers, and still videos going around that are irrelevant to the current outbreak and try and sow fear and misinformation spreading? I’m far more likely to die driving to work this morning than getting this virus, and not beating it as a healthy and in shape person in their 30s

You adapt to life with the virus and you move on. Or choose to stay in with the fam. Everyone has a choice. Do you. It’s that simple. If your solution is “keep everything shut down til 2021” that isn’t a solution. It’s a pipe dream. We gave the government 10-12 weeks. On top of the 2 month head start they had. That’s what everyone’s doing. Even the experts are guessing. Mouths shut though while the protests pop off. You know why? Because if there isn’t a massive spike they will lose all credibility with the public. They are hedging their bets. Stay silent, then can say “well we gave you the warning signs” of things spike up. If they speak out against them, they a) come off as racist even though it’s just science, and b) their roles are kaput if there’s no big upticks in deaths. They don’t have any answers beyond “stay hermits for years” but that’s not realistic. You don’t have any answers either. You’re guessing. So stay home. That’s all you can do. The world turns around you.
