I wouldn't say it's no reason. Nationally we have NO leadership and it shows. Throw in that American individualism and it's a perfect recipe for disaster.

I'm leaning more and more that total lock downs might not be completely necessary IF everyone complies with wearing a mask. Like I don't feel too upset seeing people doing outside activities if they are properly distanced and wear masks when close to others.

But people have shown they are not responsible enough to even do that. It's crazy.

If it makes you feel any better 2 mutations per month is pretty damn slow and there's a 99.99999% it won't change the viral protein fold thus whatever antibodies they were working on in the vaccine back in April will still be effective.

I buried my father yesterday. We had a service before. As much as I tried avoiding physical contact, there was still some. My mom decided to have a reception after, which I didn’t go to. She and my uncle (who lives with us) did. I hope to God we don’t catch anything.

Masks were mandatory at the services. I don’t know how it was at the party. I couldn’t stress it more than I did when it comes to safety; I hope all is well.
