Mel Gibson has revealed he has been diagnosed with coronavirus.
The Australian actor was hospitalised in the US after contracting COVID-19, according to
the Daily Telegraph.
The 64-year-old has since recovered, but a representative for the Hollywood A-lister said that “he tested positive in April and spent a week in the hospital.”
“He was treated with the drug Remdesivir, while in the hospital, and has tested negative numerous times since then as well as positive for the antibodies,” the representative said.
The United States continues to be ravaged by the global pandemic, reporting 146,000 deaths to date.
