Them Lo Lifes...
My pops caught it. He also has Myeloma and kidney disease. He's 78 but dont look it.

Only way was between me, his caregiver and his VA clinic.

Get my results back Ina few days the caregiver tested negative.

Last Monday felt like he had a cold, but was up and moving with a slight cough. Wednesday was his VA visit. During visit told the doc he had shortness of breath and lethargic, which he always complained about because the doctor told him to exercise.

Thursday he was losing appetite by Friday he was bedridden.

The whole weekend no appetite, I gave him an orange and water and stayed in bed. No TV,c no herb just being lethargic and no appetite.

By Monday, had a fever of 102, and called emergency.

His main nurse said go-to ER, yet e got referred to another practitioner who suggested we give him Tylenol, cold compress and wait. If he didn't get better taken to emergency.

It went down, but the next day I got a call saying we need to go-to the emergency room.

He couldn't move.

He could barely stand.

I had to help him from his room, took bout 15 minutes to get down the steps.

He had no other complaints other than shortness of breath when hes active and being lethargic, that's it.

Made it to ER.

They took chat x days gave him a text and said he was positive.

Putem on oxygen and gave antibiotics to help fight infection.

He had inflammation of the lungs or shattered glass lungs or whatever.

Since he got to the hospital hes been cool.

Wednesday evening he got his appetite back and sounded normal.

Doc was calling me everyday with updates saying he's the same- stable.

His biggest concern was not being quarantined, but his infection due to his blood cancer.

Said he body kicked in to help fight.

They first said they wanted to keep him till Aug 9th, which sounded like bullshyt.

Yet this past Friday said he may be home soon as Monday.

So the time line is he had for about 7-10 days.

After the 5th day (Friday)is went it turned for the worse. Thought it was just his cold and cancer.

By Monday the 8th day he had a fever.

Tuesday was admittence in the morning.

By the 10th day, Wednesday he was cool, still had the lung infection at 30% which he said is ok for pops condition and where to place him on O2 and observe for a few days.

Doc said by the apex you can get better or worse.

Even if you feel better you can still have infection and get worse if released to soon.

After that he's now using less oxygen and been over the detrimental part.

:damn:

NY's highest number of people who tested positive in a day was back in april and between 11,000 and 12,000 people.
at this rate they'll surpass NY in total cases within 2 weeks. :mindblown:

I said this 2 weeks ago and florida has now surpassed New York in number of reported cases.. :francis:

Florida records 9,300 new coronavirus cases, blows past New York

(Reuters) - Florida on Sunday became the second state after California to overtake New York, the worst-hit state at the start of the U.S. novel coronavirus outbreak, according to a Reuters tally.

Total COVID-19 cases in the Sunshine State rose by 9,300 to 423,855 on Sunday, just one place behind California, which now leads the country with 448,497 cases. New York is in third place with 415,827 cases.

Still, New York has recorded the most deaths of any U.S. state at more than 32,000 with Florida in eighth place with nearly 6,000 deaths.

On average, Florida has added more than 10,000 cases a day in July while California has been adding 8,300 cases a day and New York has been adding 700 cases.

The surge in Florida has continued as the state’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has repeatedly said he will not make mask-wearing mandatory and that schools must reopen in August.

On the contrary, New York state has managed to get the virus under control, with stores and restaurants shuttered and the wearing of masks mandatory.

The rise in cases also comes as President Donald Trump is pushing to re-open U.S. schools in the fall, despite teachers’ and families’ concerns that children could contract or transmit the disease should they return to the classroom.

After New York, Texas has the most total coronavirus cases at 391,000. Texas Governor Greg Abbott said Tropical Storm Hanna, which made landfall on Saturday as a Category 1 hurricane, was especially challenging as it was sweeping through an area of the state that has been the worst hit by the coronavirus.

For the tenth time in July, Alaska set a record for a one-day rise in cases, with 234 new infections on Sunday, bringing the state’s total to 3,100. Oklahoma hit a record for new cases five times in July, with 1,204 new infections on Sunday bringing the state’s total to 31,285.

More than 146,000 Americans have died of COVID-19 - nearly a quarter of the global total — and there are nearly 4.2 million confirmed cases in the country, or at least 1 in 79 people have been infected.

Brehs how the fukk does school open back up with shyt like that 9 year old? This is insane :mindblown:

Parents are gonna be suing school districts left and right unless forced to sign a waiver. And who the fukk is signing that thing

Won’t have to.

McConnell just stated the next relief bill passes only if liability immunity for “everyone related to coronavirus” gets included.

Will be in effect from Dec 2019 to 2024.

They want to continue making bad decisions with impunity.

Oh, lord.

More than 40 people caught COVID-19 after attending a Baptist church revival in Alabama last week, AL.com reported.

A man who didn’t display any symptoms is suspected of unwittingly spreading coronavirus at the week-long event held by the Warrior Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall County. He was tested for COVID-19 after three of his coworkers came down with the illness, and later learned that he, too, had the virus.

“We had church Wednesday night. We were in revival, morning and night services,” pastor Daryl Ross told the media outlet. “On the way back over Thursday is when we found out. I got a call that one of our guys in the church has tested positive. So, we shut down revival and, by Friday night, I’ve got church members sick everywhere.”

The church is located in the small community of Strawberry.

Ross is among those battling the virus.

“I can’t smell or taste, a little sinus, that’s all I’ve had,” the pastor said. “The whole church has been running fever and headaches and terrible respiratory (issues), and I’ve been building fences and bush-hogging.”

He told AL.com that two male attendees of the revival experienced difficulties with the virus.

“One respiratory, he almost got put in the hospital, but he’s OK,” Ross said. “The other one fought it off with two days in bed.”

The revival events are generally designed to bring worshipers from the church together and allow people to profess their faith if they hadn’t previously done so.

Masks were not required at the revival, according to AL.com, and Ross said those who went knew the risks of attending during the coronavirus crisis.

“Everybody you ask, if you talk to our church members right now, they’d tell you we’d do it again,” Ross said of the event. “It was that good.”
