You can do your best to avoid the inevitable but viruses don't give a fukk. NY has been stabilized so maybe that can be the justification and hopefully they don't have a resurgence.

Between Texas, California, and Florida they lose almost a guaranteed 600 or so people a day. Add in Arizona and Georgia and that's up to almost 800 people a day dying. We're easily cracking 1000 a day because of those states alone.Lol @ trumps conference right now

Trump doesn't care though. Opening the schools will just make this worse because the schools will be breeding grounds for community spread. Opening them guarantees these numbers get worse.
I would say a certain section of society wants this to happen
Cuomo has done a stellar job so far dealing with the pandemic, but I don’t agree with this decision.
Hopefully this doesn't backfire.
