People are socially distancing (etc) to varying degrees now and the assumption is that people will not behave the same after "vaccination is over". Or in other words if people were to go back to 2019 behaviour (nightclubs, bars, sports etc for extended periods) would the vaccine still be as effective? Also for me 2 / 3 months is not long enough to check for potential side-effects.
