They aren’t vaccinating anywhere near the rates America is, but I’m sure that lede is buried under the doom and gloom
Why do you insist on regarding any news you don't wanna hear "doom & gloom"???

They pump the negative headlines and tweets out and disregard the context. How would the tenor change of that Figel ding doomsayer thread if it was started and phrased “Good News: Vax is 81% effective at stopping severe disease and hospitalizations and even higher at preventing death of the most dangerous varient” instead of burying that key point 2 dozen tweets into his thread? “Outbreak continues in Countries that aren’t vaccinating” is quite a different headline than the ones pumped for the situation in some of the euro countries. “We are Only 4 weeks behind” is not the case at all, since we are way, way ahead of them as far as vaccinations go. Good news doesn’t drive folks to get more involved in following the situation. So they bury the lede. How’s the Israel situation? Far more akin to the US, since they lead the way in vaccinations. Nothing negative to say there, so they move to where they can maximize the fear. We are giving out nearly as many vaccinations a day now as Italy has done overall. it seems like hospitalizations are way down
if we go another week with no news on ICU being overwhelmed it’s going to be a wrap for Covid
Exactly. People hung on on new cases “omg cases are going up!” But that’s clearly expected with more interaction and way more testing. Positive testing percentages continue to decline nationally, as do deaths and hospitalizations. Half the death at least in the country was long term care facilities. If deaths don’t spike and hospitals don’t get overwhelmed, what’s the concern? This virus ain’t just going away. You live with it and move on with your life. As I’ve said numerous times, if you’re doom and gloom worried, or old, or fat, or diabetic, or have Respiratory issues stay home. That’s your prerogative. If you want to get back into some sort of life outside your residential neighborhood, then do so. That’s also your choice. What’s the alternative? Everything will look like the burnt up and shuttered parts of Minneapolis if you close everything down for months and months on end. That’s not a solution and never was. Was just to lessen the healthcare system surge
Cull the population with a few dozen deaths on a continent of billions![]()
Tens of thousands die from regular ass flu every year and folks in a complete panic over this. Media hysteria never ends
@Absolut Are you still not bothered by all of this ?![]()
Not in the slightest. 13 people in the US, a number of deaths outside China I can count on my fingers, and still videos going around that are irrelevant to the current outbreak and try and sow fear and misinformation spreading? I’m far more likely to die driving to work this morning than getting this virus, and not beating it as a healthy and in shape person in their 30s

a whopping 300 people in the state of Nevada are currently in the hospital with covid and it’s declining by the day. Folks like you and figel ding want shyt to stay shut down in perpetuity. Them days are over. Stay in your house if you want. That should have been the choice all along. Folks are getting vaccinated and moving on with or without youthat is not why you called news about increases "doom and gloom" in June 2020.
In fact after the first few days you said
and then doubled down months later

That is a year-plus long history of downplaying, ignoring uncomfortable facts and being unable to assess future risks based on current events.
