My uncle passed from COVID earlier today and my cousin who has asthma has it smh

the freaking governor of MS is literally saying he does not care about a damn thing in that state

Same doctor told us this afternoon my uncle needs a miracle at this point

How is it Iceland and Israel who have higher vaxx rates also have higher hospitalized rates for fully vaxx yet the USA only has just over 50% vaxx but 99.9% of hospitalizations are unvaxx?

The puters aint putin and the math ain't mathing. I suspect it's vaxx propoganda as telling the truth would open the flood gates and daily vaccination rates would plummet.

Most of the statistics being used in US media for the 99% stat are taking into account all hospitalizations going back to the beginning of the year, when almost nobody was vaxxed. The truly accurate stats would be to see what percentage of hospitalizations ONLY in, say, July are vaxed vs. unvaxed.

population size is largely irrelevant we are working with percentages here. If you want you can compare states vs Iceland and Israel if you feel it's that big a deal.

All this to say by definition the us should have higher vaxx hospital rates just by our very nature to flaunt mask mandates and social distancing regardless of status. Listening for the US media would have you believe vaxx is 99.9% effective against the virus and again Americans vaxx and unvaxx are more likely than Israel's and Icelanders to not give af about masks and social distance with many vaxxers feeling they've "done their part" by getting vaxxed
