Went nearly two years without catching it but it's was inevitable. Double vaxed and this is my second day and I don't feel too bad so hopefully it doesn't get any worse .

Wifey and I both had our boosters yesterday.... She's been down with a slight fever and headache and body aches. I'm fine other than some soreness at the injection spot and some weird intermittent joint pain. I was walking into the Walmart a little while ago and felt this weird sharp pain in my hip that almost laid me out because it was so unexpected and out the blue.

I hooped and ran a few miles on Friday so it waned pretty quickly

Yea I hopped on the treadmill on Day 3 and drank a gallon of water, I was good after that

The vaccine uptake in places like Germany and Austria have been horrible.

Germany was actually the last country I would have expected such resistance.

yep. I think it is down to the high 20-odd percent who don't want to take a vaccine. this is based on the irrational side of german thinking and a natural / heilkultur which manifests itself in natural healing, FKK etc.

dig out a copy of "xenophobes guide to the germans" for some commentary about the logic / madness dichotomy in the german mindset.

i personally didn't expect so many to take an anti-vaccine path but the ones that I have spoken to who feel that way are resolute.

germany is moving closer and closer to mandatory covid vaccines. they have just declared that mandatory vaccines (in this case) are not against the german constitution and high ranking politicians have refused point blank in interviews to rule out mandatory rules. by all accounts the health ministry recently removed references to "mandatory vaccines being scare mongering" from their website.

it's the BILD but the quote is „Wer Deutschland anzünden will, der führt die Impfpflicht für alle ein“ i.e. "Whoever wants to set Germany on fire introduces mandatory vaccination for everyone".



germany has had mandatory vaccines in the past including one last year.
