Deserved it? No.
If he knowingly and intentionally affected people then yes.
But because he possibly unknowingly spread it no. If that's the case we should all be dead. You don't know how many times youve coughed and left flu germs around that unknowingly and unintentionally led to someone getting seriously ill or dying. Whether it be directly or you gave it to someone else who gave it to someone else who gave it to someone else that ended up dying.
There's always some chain reaction to the things we do. Hell you couldve scheduled your covid shot at Walgreens or CVS and someone went to schedule their and that time slot was booked and since they couldn't schedule same day or next day, they got covid before they could get the shot.
