Those statistics are trash. Statistics in general are pretty trash, at best they will give you a slight indication of whats going on but no one knows the number of people dead from Covid specifically. How can anyone accurately deduce that figure?

The Government is there to set guidelines, but if people don't listen i.e. pool parties, riots and protests happening during a lock down, then what do you want them to do?

And if they were to enforce their policy with force then yall would be moaning about that too.
The people in the countries doing better are probably just smarter and listen tot the guidelines more.

Plus America is the fattest nation on earth and we have learnt that fat people are very susceptible to this disease.

You might be right tbh but I just have a thing against people quick to blame others without taking responsibility for themselves. It irks me personally.

1. Yeah, the actual numbers are actually worse, with reports of some states underreporting and us being slow to catch on to what was happening, also factor in all the places that aren't forced to report.
2. That's the thing, the federal government didn't set any guidelines, they left it up to individual states. You can probably tell, but I'm from NYC, we had some of the strictest lockdowns in the country and you know what, it worked. If we had something of the sort on a federal level and a president who led by example then we'd be in a better spot. Which leads to...
3. Who is "y'all" that you're referring to? Does that include you or people you know? I just ant to know where you stand on the issue. It seems like you're for personal responsibility which I agree with, but you think the government has little to no hand in this? I'm not trying to change your mind, but in the interest of discourse...
4. Maybe the people in other nations are smarter, but if there is no national guideline or example, then how can you fault those people? Not to mention the president is on record admitting he downplayed the severity of the threat. That is huge. And if he weren't such a clown in every other aspect, and truthfully had he not gotten sick, this would've been a bigger story.
5. America is fat as shyt, but that's only part of the narrative. This disease is especially diabolical because of its still inexplicable ability to affect many people in many ways. This is where we fumbled. We labeled it as an old people disease, then a minority disease, then a fat people disease. This virus is a killer period and until we show it its proper respect we will lose more Americans. Again this starts at the top.

All in all, interesting talk. I just want all my peoples to take care of themselves.

What is the point of government, if not to protect its citizens? It is on people to do what they can on the individual level, but on a macro, larger level government has to bear some of the weight for not instituting measures around lockdowns and mask wearing. Look at the nations that have implemented those measures. They're doing far better. There is no way the government can be absolved of their role in so many people getting sick. 225,000 people dead is not just on people.

Breh I am with you on this. How can people say its not the government fault when we done seen governors for 7 months beg government for covid relief in terms of money and aid. Or cover up covid rates for favors from the white house.

Like covid not been a 7 months civics class on how government works. Or are we gonna pretend how the 2nd round of stimulus checks been held up between congress and the Senate the last 3 months?

This entire situation is about government from response, relief, covid reporting, telling people to wear masks, regulating capacity for businesses and going and not going on lockdowns. You can't tell me its not about government when other capitalist countries have handled this situation much better than the US.

Misinformation to you is anyone speaking about how all the official information continues to contradict itself week by week. The masks don't work and the data has shown recently and for the last 10 years that they don't work.

I don't know OP lifestyle eating habits or exercising but since the lockdown everyone has been stress eating minus @UpAndComing . Even I slipped up with eating more and exercising less but I changed that months ago. When the gyms were closed alot of gym people fell off who didn't have their own home shyt. Most of the gym rats I know who got paid to stay home did nothing but eat.

I don't wish ill will on anyone but I'll be dammed to be shamed into being convinced that these underlying conditions just showed up in with a virus.

After I recovered i noticed that I feel pressure on my heart when i lay on my left side in the bed. Not sure if its Covid related but it happened immediately during and after and i never experienced it before.
