The conspiracy theorists say COVId is just like the flu.

Me: Well, we take flu shots every year.

Them: Oh no oh no. Why do you need more than 1 vaccine shot for COVId ?

Me: Well you said it’s the flu and we need yearly vaccine for the flu.


Them: But it’s different. It’s made in the lab.

With all those factors in play, I legit wondered if he's suicidal. :heh: Even if one were to be skeptical of COVID (whatever that means), even a regular flu would be bad news for a lot of people who aren't the healthiest. But well, we all have our own choices to make.

In fact, I'd say stupidity and greed's getting worse. Or, more specifically, the lack of empathy. Some care more about their own luxuries and comfort more than how it affects the next person, while failing to remember that it doesn't take much to wind up in the same situation everyone's trying to avoid.

I know I would hate being around people coughing and sneezing in the air, so I make it a point to not do that. It's gross. Just like how you go to some public places and the bathroom looks like a hurricane hit it, there are people who don't give a shyt since it's not their personal space. But when you pay it forward for the next person, and the next person also does the same, everyone wins. It's like how Japan tends to have cleaner streets, they hold their communities accountable and don't play games when it comes to stuff like that. We see the result.

They also wear masks over there normally and nobody freaks out. When people take others into consideration (or at the very least, don't want to risk public criticism and disapproval), you don't get people wilding out over things that should be common sense. Of course, that mentality can also come with flaws as well, but that's another topic entirely.

I think that's what my pops has now, his unable get up from bed without assistance, some days he can go for a walk and others days, he struggles to do everyday activities.

long covid takes a while to get better, keep checking on ur friend. I been in a similar situation in 2014 (had to move back in with my parents). Just a text message or a voice mail from someone meant the world to me.
