I've asked about Meet-up before. How are your experiences?

I've met a lot of cool people on Meetup. I've primarily used it for language exchange and writer groups.

Often we'll go bowling or have movie watch parties when not sitting at a bar or Cafe to talk. Right now they've moved to zoom for some events due to the rising covid numbers. If you take some numbers down you will always have someone to hang out with.

For the shy brehs, this is an easier place for people to meet and talk to others without any expectations.

The groups with the most participants are usually the dating groups, language exchanges and dancing classes.

This fool chic said it's the scientists spreading the misinformation, not her and the rest of these ignorant niccas on Facebook.

:deadmanny:
The post sounded so good until that part. Tell the masses anything: they stick to it. Tell them “wait, in light of new information “ and you get pushback.

Mothafukkas clamor for information, get it so they arent left in the dark, and are :dwillhuh:when something changes and the people who study it for a living deliver the info. If the pst two years has taught me anything, if the scientific community opts to say NOTHING at all, charlatans and people with big imaginations will fill the gaps. “But what arent they telling us?”:comeon:

It's incredible, bro and it shows how this is the end of our current society as we know it.

Bro, I'm religious and I would read in the Scriptures about people rejecting the Truth.

Never in a million years did I think I would live to see people rejecting even basic in-their-face truth. What a time to be alive.

And everything you said is right and correct. People want more information and want to know what's happening, so the scientists come and tell us what they currently know. And each time, they've always given the caveat that this is a NOVEL (new) virus so there are things they are still learning.

To any halfway rational and reasonable person, that means that this is a moving target, things can change in midstream.

But not to these fools today. These fools lack nuanced critical thinking, so they don't even have the capacity to comprehend the idea that "This is something we're figuring out as we go along, but we'll give you the best information we have when we get it."

This situation isn't ideal to the public, true; but it ain't ideal to the scientists either.

They're doing the best they can with the cards that they have been dealt.

And the crazy part is, people are still refusing to put blame where it belongs. On us as a society for allowing Donald Trump to become the United States president.

If he isn't the president when COVID happens, this thing doesn't get out of control to the point where we have all these variants and 800,000 dead and counting, and people suffering potential lifetime illnesses from a bout with COVID.

Society follows the lead of the President of the United States of America, the leader of the free world. Donald Trump was holding that position when COVID happened, so Americans and the rest of the world didn't take it seriously because at every turn, the President was telling us it was a hoax and it was nothing to be worried about, while privately telling folks that they should be very worried.

Yet, these idiots refuse to blame him but want to blame the scientists who have done the best they can with a President who was actively working against them at every stage of solving this crisis in the beginning, when there was something that they actually could have done to curb the spread and prevent this from being a full blown pandemic.

Now we are in the worst case scenario thanks to Trump, and they are doing the best they can do with what they have to work with.

I hate to say it but it’s here to stay breh. It’s not going to go away anytime soon especially with how often there’s a new variant popping up.

This is the new normal: masks, booster shots every couple of months, and constant misinformation from scientists who are supposed to be the experts…

All I can tell you is that it seems to have cycles—peaks then lows. During a low just put yourself in a position to be more social.
I was with you until this had to undap my dap. Science is based off data and samples. How you misinform something that's readily available for us all. :dead: at blaming scientists instead of the " imma do my own research " gang

Loneliness starting to set in…all my friends stopped checking in on me
You're probably not an introvert

Where do you live that it still shut down? Most places are wide open. Could be some anxiety holding you back.
