I wish they would stop trying to adapt anime into live action. It doesn’t work, it never has
Only bad thing I found about the show was Vicious’s portrayal, it certainly didn’t deserve a cancellation especially after 1 bloody season when there far worse things Netflix’s still airing. 
It just wasn’t that good. The showrunners didn’t get the tone right at ALL and everything suffered because of it. The cast tried their best but the writing and tone failed them

the series would get whenever Vicious appeared was completely decimated. The OG series had a great balance of light hearted and mature moments. It was a big draw of the show besides the crew just getting caught in fukkery week after week

Ehhh I’m sure the show was rather expensive to productive which more than likely factored into it being cancelled.
These streaming services need constant content, so they have no other choice to take these type of gambles.
