You answered the question yourself. He is the greatest shooter of all time. He is more of a shooting guard than point. He is only labeled a PG because he is often the smallest player on the team.
Ask yourself, name me one top 10 PG of all time that doesn’t have the assist statistics to back it up?
You can’t be an all time PG and not have the assist stats to back it up = Facts.
Steph is only labeled a point guard because of size. He is more of a shooting guard than a point. And any moron with a decent basketball IQ can see that.
So there is nothing wrong with Pauls list because every PG on that list is a better passer and playmaker than Steph minus maybe Derek Rose.

Personally i prefer a John Stockton type over all of them. I don't need my point guard to lead the team in scoring or carry the offense on his back. I just want him to facilitate and play great perimeter d and have a good enough shot to keep the d honest. Steph has the shooting aspect down, best of all time easily. But he still a career 6 assist per night guy. That's a shooting guard to me, a true point should get close double digit assists.
