Because The PG position is overrated. The only PG I would build a team around is magic and I wouldn't take him over Lebron James, MJ, Kobe, Hakeem, Duncan, Kareem etc if I was starting a Team from scratch

I think the emergence of 2s and 3s and even 4s who could handle the ball and facillitate kinda marginalized the traditional PG. You look at Mike, Bron, and Kobe. The best pg either of them ever had was who...prime Fish? But their squads never missed a beat due in large part to their ability to handle traditional pg duties AND score 30.
If I have a stacked team id take magic over anyone. But a team from scratch? Nah
which is why a pg shouldn't be getting 100 mil and by extension can almost never be a top 5 player

08 cp3 should have won the mvp, 09 was cp3 pretty much playing the best basketball a pg has ever played not named magic...statistically proven, then he got injured...and now you have this shell of cp3...if he was never injured...we would have been watching arguably the greatest pg ever (arguably).....but because of selective memory nikkas see the name, and like to diminish the shyt....if cp3 was never that good, he would NEVER have the so called "hype" he has now, because his market was fukking new orleans....no one gives a fukk about new orleans...so there has to be a reason cp3 is so "overrated" right? yea....I would assume it was his talent that got him noticed.

Chris Paul had the second best PER in the league behind lebron in 08...better than Kobe, better than dirk, better than wade....
if we are talking the 08 and 09 seasons besides lebron, wade and chris paul were the best players in the league....dirk was great, but he wasnt the dominant force that those other 2 plus lebron were...also chris paul always destroyed dirk when they played, same with dwight.
Chris Paul should have won mvp because before he was on the hornets they won like 14 games....then when the 08 season started they had 50 plus wins with him averaging 20 10 and 3 steals leading them to the second best record in the west
